Job Start Info

Hey all,

Once awarded a job, generally, speaking, what information would you want to know(related to scope) as the PM/super at a “kick off” meeting with your company?

I do know some of the info would be specific to type of work being done.

Trying to develop a kick/off & project info sheet so any insight/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That's kind of an open question...
Is this for a PM who's never seen the project before or one who was involved in the bidding?

Has the PM at least looked at the drawings, specs, and quote?

Well thats sorta it...contract, responsibilitys, who provides, what the gen wants first, then schedule.
Its within that first meeting you realize alot of needs were not in the qoute.
Cross referencing that is kinda important.

If the PM-to-be hasn't looked at any of the job info before this kind of meeting, then they're woefully unprepared for it and can't know what questions to ask.
Or... going into a kick-off meeting without knowing anything about the job is a blazingly bad idea.

Then the PM doesn't know what they don't know.
The job is likely not going to make the profit the owner thought it would.

This is partly why we don't 'allow' DIYs on this forum.
