Deceptively simple Q- can a jockey pump be tapped from the service to a fire pump?
I thought NO but can't find anything in article 695 that prohibits this. I've read it a couple of times and some articles on it.
This specific installation has a 480V transformer with a service to a switchgear and a separate service to the fire pump.
Thank you for any insight!

You can but it is usually easier to not to. There are a number of requirements if you do this. See 695.6(I). The jockey pump can be wired from any convenient source as it has no special reliability requirements.

Aha good point. So you could run the FP service to a JB or trough and then tap it to a jockey pump. Box must be drip-proof/etc, but I don't see anything too onerous. Thank you.

Be sure you don't make that tap in the fire pump controller. It's not permitted (695.6(I)).
