Is there an accessory to the 555 Bender that would allow you a more controlled bend.... I have found that when trying to do very small increments on the Bender sometimes it jumps and there's too much of a bend in it...

Is it a new, or older unit? If older, worn shoes, correct roller shoes for emt or rigid? Rollers binding? Alignment of shoe to rollers?

You may need to set the degrees for a test bend, and adjust setting on next, so that the bend is done in “one shot” without bumping the controller.

I think I have had this problem before, maybe on an older unit. IIRC, it may have been missing a small roller , or was bent, allowing the pipe to flex a little between the rollers and main shoe.

I've used many a 555 that would 'travel over' when you let off the button. Most of the time there would be lots of 'notes' left by sparkies that used it indicating the actual vs. desired angle. Of course, those were never correct so you had to 'waste a few' and make your own notes. I never liked triple nickels.
