journeyman license shows inactive

Hi, i passed the journeyman test few weeks ago, Mike holt books help me
Me a lot....

I got the license card and it says journeyman electrician but at the bottom shows inactive-not for contracting....

Does anyone kows why?

Another thing, they told me i dont need to do continuing education.........that's just for masters to keep their license.......is that right

Not all juristdictions are the same -- check the state statues for comfirmation of your information -- Colorado you need a masters Lic to apply for a contractors Lic -- all Lic's are subject to renewal testing

Sounds like you need a Masters to work on your own..

Do you work for a contractor? I don't remember now, but I think you fill in your employer info on the test application.

A journeyman has to work for a contractor. But you probably knew that part:)

Ask another journeyman in your state what his license says.
