I took the journeymans prometric test, and I failed it with a 50 percent . I really thought I was ready what do you suggest? :confused:Missouri Do you think the practice test on Mike Holts is enough to study for this test, There were atleast 10 men taking the test saying they have taken it numerous times . Thanks for your input!!

There are a number of good tutor's in OUR industry. Yes Mikes stuff will help. One of the biggest helps that I have seen, is getting the mind set from carring your pouch and bender and sitting on your duff for 4-6 hours each day reading studing and asking questions. The more days, the better your odds. Good Luck

Don't feel bad. The test is designed to make you fail. Most who take it don't pass their first time.

With that kind of score, it looks to me like you took more real-life experience in than was necessary. The test is about the Code, not real-world knowledge.

study study study. thats pretty much i can say about the test. take your codebook and go through it and read it and highlight important stuff in every chapter. then read it again. and when your finished read it again! i studied 5 hours every single night for a month straight before i taken my exam and it paid off. mike holts books are great but you cant just do the book once and call it a day that information needs to soak in and stay
