junction box accessibility

I want to distribute wires from a junction box I would locate in my attic. The junction box would be in a remote area in my attic, which is an accessible attic (however the junction box would need to be back near the roof's slope close to where the rafters connect to the ceiling joists). The junction box would not have to be accessed once the connections were made and the blank cover put on. The splices are a matter of convenience due to distribution and costs of wire. What are the codes, and/or other matters, pertaining to junction box locations as such?

With all regards
