I was curious about that as well and my first instinct was to post 250.4(A)(4) as well but thought maybe they were talking about 250.148.

Remember if it is a metal box with metal raceways attached that are considered equipment grounding conductors then the box is already grounded. This does not relieve you from connecting equipment grounding conductors to the box if there are splices or terminations within the box. 250.48. Isolated grounding conductors are the exception.
