If any of you are using self-contained Juno LED under-cabinet lights I want to make you aware of a situation that I had recently. I installed these lights in a remodeled kitchen that had white cabinets and a light gray back-splash. I had (3) 30" units and (4) 14" units. All the packaging indicated that the light color was 3000 Kelvins. After installing them I found that the 30" units were, in fact, 3000 Kelvins. However, the 14" units were 4000 Kelvins. I brought one of the 30" units back to the supply house, wired it up and matched it to another 30" unit. 3000 Kelvins. We then pulled a 14" unit off the shelf, wired it up, turned it on and the color temp was 2700 Kelvins. We then opened up a new case and found (4) 14" units that were 3000 Kelvins. So, I changed them out on the job and everything looks perfect.

My guess is that someone in the factory put these units in the wrong boxes OR they purchased raw components from different sources.

I would also like to give credit where credit is due. The label on the back of each unit indicated that they were made in China.

My advice - if you are using more than one of these on a kitchen remodel, lay them out, temp wire them and make sure the LED's are the same color output before installing them.

BTW, I've never had a problem with these units in the past.

I once had the same issue with Seagull LED strips. I was using 2700K and one of the strips said it was a 2700K but was really a 3000K. Enough to tell a difference.
