I was wading through ebay tonight and came across a listing for a meter that had the instructions included. I though I'd pass them along for every to enjoy. Would you buy this meter?

Instructions are:

Summarize
The meter is based on Second Safety Standard of ?Electronic Measure Instrument Safety Require.? Take conveniently, quickly measuring, correctly and safely. The opening phase condition and order can be checked by LED and Buzzer.

Operation method:
Be connected meter-pen and measuring wire together (Do not use hand directly). Any part of measuring wire is well (When measure in its middle part, shuck off its insulter and prevent get an electric shock. through measuring shelf is inserted in to metal explore nob and screw down, measurement become more convenience for customers). At that time, meter will show the phase and phase order.

Reminds:
1. The meter is high voltage equipment, so check-up before use it. If there is appear follow cases, stop measuring to repairing:
A. Appearance scathe.
B. Extrusion in transit.
C. Store in wet places for long time.
2. Do not open the cover of meter when measuring.
3. Do not use hand to touch the metal of bareness thrum and meter-pen directly.
4. Prevent to get an electric shock when all light off, however, there is loop.
5. It is better to circuit voltage no more than 600V.
6. Time limit for continuous measurement 60 minutes at 200V AC and 4 minutes at 600V AC.
7. Do not use it in open air or other wet places.
8. Do not let it touch water or other liquid or directly to the sun.
9. Only professors can open its cover.
10. Users should take in special train and know well relatively knowledge and operate as this manual.
11. Put this manual under reach.

If I can't use it in open air, or in the water, then I suppose that would only leave the vacuum of space, so the warning about touching the sun is probably in line with the listing of the meter. :D

Is that the new Icarus line from Greenlee? :)

How do you expect us to make sense of those directions if you are going to leave so many words out and mix them up. I think they eBay lister would be very offended if he found out. :grin:
