Suppose I had a couple of 200 HP 480V motors.
Code allows the short circuit protection to be 250% or 600A.
Any reason I actually have to have a CB on each motor? Can't I just use the main CB in the panel and buy a 600A CB and feed both motor starters off the same CB? Its maybe an odd group motor installation but it seems to fit the bill.
