Short service call to help a new customer with a good sized generator. All I had to do was check the voltage at the control board, it was low at 53 volts to ground, replace the board and confirm voltage output was good. 276 to ground. Not sure of the size but once it was up the amp meter indicated a bit less than 400a at 480v and 60hz. After 10 years this is the second board in less than a year. Customer was wondering why. Any ideas?
I suggested sending the board back to see if the far away authorized service center had an idea. $3K a board.
They are under load control from the POCO and use the unit when they are controlled.
