Keeping water away from panelboards

A job I am researching has a garage with a common wall to a sink.

Would like to locate 2 panelboards in the garage, on the common wall with a sink (sink is on the opposite side of the wall).

In reviewing NEC 110.26 F 1 it appears that if the plumbing for the sink is confined by wall studs with the panelboards on the opposite sides of the wall studs I am OK.

| panelboard | sink plumbing | panelboard |

Can EMT from one of the panelboards penetrate a wall stud into the sink plumbing cavity? Is the EMT part of the "equipment"?

They always forget the rated wall.

I was in a home the other day and the electric panel was under the sink! Yes under the kitchen sink.

See if they have a 2" vent pipe in the cavity, look at the roof? You'll never get anything other than a 3/4" with a saddle in there, beside the other issues...

IN the garage, ON the common wall. I don't see a problem w/ this installation. JMHO, unless I'm missing something.
