I have recently found Kelek panelboards installed in a hotel I was reviewing and wanted to know if anybody had any info on these? Specifically, if they still make them and if parts(i.e. circuit breakers) are readily available or are these panelboards that money should be set aside for replacement in the next few years.

Thanks

Are we talking Klingon or Romulan? :D

BW:

Check the spelling I think you may have spelled the manufacture's name backwards.

All rightie than, I guess that you all have lost site that this is a legitimate question and it should be treated as such,it's not backwards or even a watch I must agree that it is ROMULAN! No all kidding aside I've personally never heard of it. You might want to go on line and check with a Breaker Broker.

BC,
Being the victim many times, and witnessing some of your other wise comments to other people. It gives me great pleasure to see you receive some of your own ribbing.

Re: KeLek panelboards

I don't want to take away from the seriousness of the question, and I was reluctant to post and appear insensitive, but it was my best shot, and it's all I've got on this one. Sorry :(

Hopefully this answer will keep your question alive and it will soon be answered.

Here is a link to a breaker broker that tests their breakers:
Ace Liquidating. They've been around long enough to know about Kelek's. I sure don't.

Good luck! Sorry for the unhelpful answers. It's all we've got on this one. Are you positive about the spelling on this one?

Re: KeLek panelboards

There are a number of companies that buy and refurbish old circuit breakers, I just sold some 30 year old Sq D FA's for $200 to Breaker King in Ohio. There is also Seattle Circuit Breaker. I would try to find out where the breaker was made and see if there is a CB refurbishing company in that area.

Re: KeLek panelboards

I have found out that this panelboard company went out of business years ago and was taking over by Atlantic Switchboard which has also gone out of business.
