I am not familiar with the 265 question Mike Holt Test. Is it broken down into several tests, and given a time in which you should be able to complete the questions? I used practice tests years ago to take the Master exam, and my son did for the journeyman. Easily passed the tests. The big thing was being able to find the answers in the code in the test time allowed. If you really know your way through the book you will pass.

Kentucky? Do they use the NEC? Just playing. Good luck and if you don't pass your first time don't give up. Alot of helpful people on this site. You can do it!

We're not all hillbillies here, a few rednecks however, either of which I'm not.

Currently using 2005 NEC with 2008 NEC expected to be adopted around July. Statewide license, which has its' own pros and cons.

I failed it my first time by a few points, then passed it again the second time around. If you do fail, the best thing to do is to schedule another one as soon as you can.

If you can pass the practice journeyman's test I'm confident you'll pass on your first go.
