keyless lampholders?

Are there any restrictions on where a keyless lamp holder can and cannot be used? I'm referring to the white porcelin or plastic lamp holders that we all have in our basement or garage. I know they are not to be installed in clothes closets, or outsde, and that the lamp needs some type of guarding. Thanks. Bill

I didn't think that there were alot of restrictions on installing keyless lamp holders.

John the type the OP is mentioning. I would say no.....Indoor use dry only.
