Kidde Wireless smoke detectors false alarms

Customer has Kidde wireless smoke/CO combos. (we installed 6 months ago). Alarms going off for no reason. This is the first customer to have issues. I returned them to Home Depot. They now have no wireless detectors even for sale ! Neither does our electrical supply store. They “pulled Kidde wireless from our shelves and are waiting for an alternative product.”
Any of you having this problem? Some jobs are almost impossible to hardwire.
Is there a brand you use ? Thank you.
 
I had lunch with Walter Kidde a while back and I'm like dude whats going on with your smoke alarms? Hes like well you know supply chain, china, quality control, yadda yadda.., Robert Bosch was there too and he was trying to get Walter to manufacture in Germany. By then they each had a couple pints in them and got into this huge debate about quality, costs and where the best place to manufacture is. James Hardie was there too but he mostly kept out of it.
