I am reviewing another consultant's work and they have a typical kitchen detail for counter outlets in a dwelling unit. They have a very starnge note that reads the following:
"Rough in J-box for future 120V, 20A, receptacle, located behind one of the base cabinets in order provide a future outlet power feed that would be in compliance with the Fair Housing Accessible Guidelines (future would be positioned in a base cabinet drawer front and the drawer will be rendered inoperable)".
This is a first for me. I searched through the 1998 FHAG document and I can not find anything related to this note. Has anyone else gone through something similar?
