This is a fire alarm question.
I have to add a carbon monoxide detector in a commercial kitchen due to several gas ranges / stoves. If the CO detector goes off, the gas appliances have to shut down.
How do you shut down the gas appliances? Do I connect an addressable control relay from the fire alarm system to the master shut off valve that feeds the gas line to the appliances?
Each gas appliance has a 120 volt, 20 amp circuit breaker feeding it for ignition purposes. I'm assuming those breakers still stay on, since by shutting off the breakers, the gas appliance will still be on.
