I had a customer request I install plug mold along the underside of the cabinets rather than standard outlets along the walls. I told her it violated the 50" height & every other circuit requirements. Has anyone come across this application? She claimed to have seen it in a magazine. Fortunately I am married and well versed in dealing w/such requests.

There is no 'every other circuit requirment'

There is no 50" height limitation on counter outlets.

Using plug mold like she suggests is beoming more common.

I agree. The only potential problem is exceeding the 20" maximum height above the countertop if the upper cabinets are higher than usual. With a standard 18" space between the cabinets and counter this wouldn't be a problem.

Blasko... are you working under CEC requirements? Your 50 inch and every other circuit sound sorta like the Canadian rules.
