NOT JUST NOVELTY! I have the same feeling I did when I was 4 and got light up power ranger shoes?

I have the hi-viz pliers, they're probably the best I've owned, not just because they glow but the grip is really comfortable on them.

In my opinion..ALL newer Klein tools are JUNK. Have a pair of journeyman lineman pliers and they were tight..as in had to pull them open..since day one. Tried oil..wd40..liquid wrench..on blaster. Rivit seems too tight. Have another pair of red handle dykes. Same issue. I won't but anymore Klein

What is the benefit of the HIVIZ glow in the dark handles? Are they more expensive than the regular Klein tools?

They are about the same price but if you were in a crawl space or something similar to that, you could find them if dropped or misplaced

I had the same experience with them. Traded in for another pair that was a little snug, but still is usable. From now on, if I ever buy another pair, I will test them before buying them.

auto parts store, valve grinding compound, it will set your pliers free. have yet to see it fail

You can loosen them up by dropping them nose down onto concrete a bunch of times, it has worked for me.

I don't know if I would go as far as to say they're junk but I will say they are over-priced. Because I manage to damage, lose or blow up lineman's pliers on a regular basis I picked up a pair of these at HD recently :

They cut wire, cut screws, crimp and strip just like Klien's but at half the price

Stay away from CE's wire nuts. Bought an assorted bag two weeks ago, wrung the metal coils out of the plastic by hand before the wires even got tight. I destroyed 4 yellow wire nuts and 2 tans before I just re-used the old ones.

Shouldnt be blowing them up tho; Linesman Pliers arent circuit testers. :D
