I have several Klockner-Moeller relays to include in an arc flash study. They have 3 separate current settings on them. I think I can figure out which ones are the long term, short delay, and instantenous. But I was wondering if anyone had anymore insight into the labels?

Each is labeled with a box with notation in it. The first has what looks like a square pulse on its side. The second has an "X" on one side, and an "I>" on the other side. The third has a "I>>" notation. Is this some sort of ICC notation?

Finally, does anyone have any ideas on how to model these devices in SKM software? I have Time-current curves for the devices, but SKM software doesn't list K-M in their library.

You are correct these are IEC designations.
They are, as you guessed, in order: overload, short delay, and then instantaneous.

Steve,
This happens often to me. Contact SKM tech support and send them the information on the relay. They will input the TCC into the library and email it to you. They usually turn the library file around to me in a few days.
You can download the KM software from their website to see the associated characteristics.

Thanks Jim and Ron. And that link is a lot of help too Ron. I noticed they do have some of the relays in the library under "Klockner". Not sure why I didn't see those the first time. But they don't seem to have the 1200 A model. I'll contact SKM.

By the way, the SKM software is my new toy. We purchaced it do do an arc flash analysis, but I'm looking forward to using it for other things.
