Knee wall storage....

Are keyless fixtures with incandescent lamps allowed by the NEC in these "knee-wall" storage spaces? I say no 410.8(C), but inspectors pass new homes with them installed here all the time. What am I missing?

410.8(C) [in the 2005] is for clothes closets. I wouldn't call knee-wall storage a clothes closet.

The concern for a closet of this nature is combustibles. See 410.5 & 410.6

Allowed. And pullchain lampholder would be allowed if located properly so that the "switch is at the point of entry". IMO.
