Does Kohler spec copper conductors for their generators? I have read the online manual for the 14/20 RES and cant find anything under field connections where they require copper. Thanks.
I have always used copper but Kohler dose not say what they recommend. On some longer runs have used 2G AL to inside gen and 1'-3G copper whips with Polaris bugs. I would also recommend drilling power and low voltage communication conduit holes higher than Kohler recommends to give more room for gas piping.
Seems like I remember the output breaker having a copper rating only, I would check the labeling there.
On the 14/20 RES the field wiring is terminated on a block not a breaker.

Not the first time for double posts... but how did these happen 25 minutes apart? :blink:On the 14/20 RES the field wiring is terminated on a block not a breaker.
Hillbilly, not sure about the block, i will have to check.Ok, Is the block rated for AL then?
