Kohler rdt

Hi guys I just got to a job today with the panel cover off as well as the Kohler transfer switch cover off(load center). I've never worked on one of these and there is a 14/3 coming from the engine(outside) and the white and red go to the control board. Does anyone know where the black goes? I'm assuming it's either neutral or power.
