Has anyone come across load centers made by a company called "Kolton"? No hits when I searched this site.

Are you sure it is manufactured by this company? over the years I have seen some major manufactures panels with another brand name on them but the guts were the same, similar to the Kenmore Sears sells but made by Whirlpool, but that has been a long time ago? Midwest uses a verity of manufacture guts in their meter main panels so maybe this is what you have, not sure with out a photo of it.

Those look like custom shop panelboard fitted with off the shelf circuit breakers. Similar to the stuff manufactured by big switchboard companies like Lincoln Electric, All City Switchboard, Gallagher Switchboard, etc. Here's an example of All City panelboard fitted with GE breakers, and an old Standard Switchboard panel:

Kind of reminds me of an old Bryant or Westinghouse which Westinghouse bought Bryant back in 1901, also Westinghouse also had a large manufacturing plant in Newark, who knows they might be connected?

I would say you're on to something. They look like Westinghouse breakers.
