L1 N1 and N2

I wanted to bump this thread but it was locked. I ran into this issue today and it had me stumped. I ended up wiring the device with hot on L1 and neutral on N1 and it worked fine but it still had me a little confused at to what N2 could be for. The manufacturer of the heater did not include any instructions.

They are all 120V. Good question. Was there continuity between N1 and N2?

Omega just did a poor job of copying the data sheet from the actual mfr., Farnell. Here is the real data sheet and in there it says you don't hook up anything to N2.

In IEC world they have different types of "neutral", based on how it is grounded, I suspect that's what N2 is for. We don't have that issue here.

Not the slightest idea, especially since the specification says that it has a two-pole connector.

Maybe N2 is the EGC?
Check for continuity between N1 and N2 with thermostat both open and closed?

Wiring note: Only connect the L and N1 terminals - N2 is not used and Grounding is not required
