Do shops change their labor rates to be more competitve for the bid? I know theres a labor cost plus the workers hourly rate but how would a shop determine the hourly rate for that electrician and which part of that number could you adjust to determine how much profit on that one worker. Everyone has a different number for labor and or materials if not everyone would be submitting same quote. I woul say most EC use their experience labor, efficiency, history, and PM to make the numbers they bid on a project and make a profit. I also know most of the time its probably little less than they expected. I would like to hear some advise on what areas could a small shop help with bidding a project for profit? Thanks for any help.
