Does anyone know of a link or a book or any sort of good reference material that show examples of various ladder logic programs? (such as sump pump controls, conveyor systems etc.)
I don't know of any books however if you understand relay logic and controls at all ladder logic isn't that hard to pick up on at all, untill you get to the more advanced logic operations, like adding, bit moves ...Its really pretty easy to pick up. The manufactures instructions will give you info. About the most complicated thing about PLC's is the I/O addressing.
