Ladder Rack

Bought a new pickup through a dealer and had a service style shell thrown in from the dealer as incentive. well some to find out that i can not put a ladder rack on truck now (over shell) without cutting the shell (it is a leer shell and has a 2" lip that hangs over the outside edge of the truck bed). does anybody have idea for a ladder rack that will go over a shell and where i will not have to cut the shell?

yeah sort of like that but the problem is mine hangs down 2" over the outside of the bed and the shell would have to be cut to accommodate where the legs turn in and land on the edge of the bed. the local dealer refuses to cut the shell because it will invalidate the warranty. any other ideas?

I suggest talking to Leer about it. They may have, or know of, a rack that will work with their shell.

okay, i think i get it, you need a j channel flange, i will go back and look. meanwhile larry idea is a good one. sometimes the solution is so simple we do not see it.
