lamp holders 220.3 (B)(5) 2002NEC

Hi, Just need to know if I'm looking in the right place. Starting to do a load calc on a Commercial store. There will be site lighting (parking lot) involved with this building and I'm not really sure how to go about this. Looking through the 2002 NEC art 220.3 (B)(5) it talks about Heavy duty lamp holders. Would this be the place for parking lot lights?

oh! using the 2002 NEC since I Don't even have an 05 yet :( . Thanks Mike

Re: lamp holders 220.3 (B)(5) 2002NEC

Mjc,
I guess I would calculate the outside lighting load (parking lot) according to:

220.18(B)2005
220.4(B)2002

230.42(A)(1)2005
230.42(A)(1)2002

Example: 100 fixtures at 120VAea. would be,

100 x 120VA = 12000VA

12000VA x 1.25 = 15000VA

This would be for the parking lot lighting only.
This is just my opinion and like I said I am only an apprentice so lets see what others with more experience say.
