lamp protection

in a walk-in freezer what is the code regulation for protection of lamp. Do you need both jelly jar and cage or can you get by with one or the other.

I can't find the exact wording right now, but in Illinois, the Dept of Public health requires that any lamps over food storage areas be enclosed or sheilded. That would require the jelly jar. But I don't know if you can eliminate the cage.
