I have a project where we installed a number of incandescent "cylinder" fixtures. During the final stages of construction we installed some 200 watt lamps for temp lighting. The 8 we installed burned out with-in a few hours. I chalked it up to a bad batch of imported lamps.
Last week we installed the 250 watt Par 38 lamps that the fixtures call for. We have already had 6 of the 24 burn out. The voltage as the fixture is correct 123V. They do run thru a dimming rack. Could this in any way be leading to premature lamp failure? I don't understand how it could be or what to look for.
Thanks for the help.
