landscape lights

owner wants to dim landscape lights they have one transformer 100 watt but want to dim two different areas separately. not sure how to do and comply since I cant legally dim a receptacle how would I use two magnetic dimmers to do this TIA

You can buy a trany that is direct wired to avoid the plug issue however, you can dim a receptacle but you must use a special receptacle and plug so nothing else can be plugged in. Lutron makes them.

You cannot dim two different areas with one trany. You will need two.

low voltage lights

Dim low voltage lights? Why not install lower wattage bulbs. With only a 100 watt transformer they can't be lighting up much of an area.

actually they are being used inside a palapa and they want to be able to control the mood :roll:
