Ok, long time laptop that has been used as a desktop for most of the last year. Gets all the updates.

I tried to use on a job this morning and it now requires an internet connection to sign on. WTH is too mild. I could get on there, but not later today.

What setting do I have to change?

Does your phone have a hotspot? Anytime I need to run my Chromebook or my Windows laptop away from home, I jump on my phone hotspot

Is it windows 10? If so, with internet access: Start -> Go to your account -> change account settings. There should be some option that says use local account as administrator, select that and it should let you log in without internet access.

I had to go home & get the spare battery for the cell so I had enough power to run the HS, then use an old router to make Ethernet connection between PLC and laptop. A cluster.

Did change acct settings this evening. Hope it works.
