Anyone have experience with these? LArge kitchen with walk in coolers, ovens, stoves, countertops, kitchen equipment etc.
Spec is not clear on conduit type to be used in these areas.
Thinking it would be either RMC or LFMC as I'm sure it's considered a wash down area.
Anyone have pics of conduits run in these areas?

I don't think anything here is exposed to severe physical damage. EMT with approved raintight fittings should be fine. You would have to seal the conduits coming from the freezer to the ambient air for condensation, everything under the hood would need to be shunted as well as the make-up air unit. I don't see why you couldn't use EMT.

One way is to see what disconnects are spec'd. I'm sure there is an area of wash down. Also look at plumbing plan for hose bibs or reels.
The ones I have done has combinations of each. Dry,damp and wet ( wash down).

They make raintight fitting for EMT?

Good point. if there are disco's and they are NEMA 3R or 4X that would be a good indicator.
Not familair with plumbing hose bibs or reels and what to look for. Can you explain a little more? Thanks

Yes, required in wet locations (outside, etc)
The fitting is typically steel compression with a blue compression ring, connectors have a gasket and locknut.
I suspect they cost more.
I have done a few exposed jobs with steel compression and bell boxes for a nice look

Maybe it was concrete tight fittings I was thinking of. IT was one of them I thought really didnt exist....obviously the concrete tight one...I believe.

On the plumbing plan for the kitchen
It will show valve and an HB or HR.
It will send you to a plumbing detail. It should be on the hot water side.

On the electrical it should also reference a detail for in use covers and receptacle type. Some use GFCI receptacle and some breakers.

Usually if meat saws and this type of equipment are present it's a wash down area.
