Large scale LED solid state fluorescent lamp premature degradation plague street lamps well into 2024

Due to large scale defects of solid state fluorescent lamps, the blue LEDs and phosphors that make up the solid state fluorescent lamp elements are causing them to turn purple. The overwhelming majority of LED lighting is based on phosphor paste directly applied on LED chip in close physical contact and when this peels apart, they go to crap.

The first time I saw the purple street lights I thought for sure it must have been improvised by a local, I kept wondering how did somone climb that pole and tape purple cellophane on there?
