I have an inspector telling me all washers in a laundromat need a GFI and a redundant ground. Is this true? I would assume the GFI is correct but redundant ground dose not seem correct.

Notice how while he was telling you this, he failed to give the code reference.

What is a reduntant ground? Where is it in the code?

Ohio requires that the inspector give you a code reference. The BBS will revoke the certification of an out of control inspector.

As you can tell I do not like inspectors that want it done "my way".

Redundant Ground?
Oh, I get it, similar to health care, for the conductive paths of the EGC.
But the GFCI is far more important than the EGC.
