Code says to have 1-1500va circuit for laundry receptacle. Question is can you put any more receptacles in the laundry room on that circuit.
If not can the other receptacles be on the general purpose receptacle circuit, and do they have to be GFCI protected.

Thanks to anyone who can answer :)

Re: Laundry Circuit Residential

1500 VA is the load for calculation purposes. The circuit shall be 2400 VA, a 20 amp circuit.

All receptacles, in the laundry area, can be on the 20 amp circuit.

My washer draws 10 amps. My iron is 1200 watts. This is 100% of the circuit rating.

This works because my wife won't let me wash and iron clothes for 3 hours, without a break. :D

There is also no requirement under 210.8 for GFCI in the laundry. It wouldn't surprise me if your local authority has an amendment requiring it though.
