in 210.52 (F), (i think, book is at work) it says that the laundry circuit shall supply only the laundry receptacle(s). does this mean that the washing machine circuit can also supply laundry counter-top outlets or laundry room lights?

Well for one thing there is a difference between a laundry receptacle and laundry room lights. One is a light and the other is a receptacle , both are outlets. I believe that yes you can put other receptacle outlets located in the "laundry" on that circuit, but not receptacle outlets not located in the "laundry" on it. Ok? That is just my opinion.
