What is the general thought concerning the laundry receptacle required by 210.52(F). 210.11(C)(2) reequires that the laundry branch circuit supplying the "laundry", shall have no other outlets. Does laundry receptacle outlet(s) mean only the outlet for the washing machine, or does it allow all receprtacles in a laundry room, to be on the "laundry" circuit? ideas anyone?

All are allowed here.

Seems inhabiting doesn?t it!

Recall that this is a requirement of the optional and standard methods for load calculations via the NEC.

Thinking about it I know I have a receptacle out there for the washing machine, I frankly don?t know that it?s not scabbed of another circuit or not. This is one of the last few circuits I?ve never re-wired. (40?s Circa house)
Great more things for the job jar!

The sunroom is the laundry room and there is another circuit out there and that circuit I know is off the living room circuit.

Just run off another branch out there if you have a large laundry room and if you have the need!

One of the first home remodels I worked brought the distinction out in a very clear manner.

This laundry room had the gas furnace and gas water heater for the house in it, as well as a dorr to the outside. This means that power had to be supplied to the igniters of the gas appliances, the furnace blower, the thermostat control circuit, and the outside receptacle - as well as the actual 'laundry' uses.

I could have the wash machine and 'general' receptacle on the same 'laundry' circuit ("The receptacle is for the iron"), but the other stuff needed power from somewhere else. Whether the same circuit would have been allowed to power the light in the room is another discussion.
