LB for utility secondary

I have to install a new 400 amp 3 ph service into an existing electric room, I wanted to build it outside, but the building wont let me. Can I use an LB outside for the utility secondary to go inside the back of the new meter inside or do I have to burrow and chip out the floor and footer? Big difference in my pricing!!

Unless the utility takes issue with the LB or having the meter inside, I don't see a problem.

Good luck finding an LB large enough if its a 400A wye.

They make them, a pain in the a**, but do-able. Thinking about going parallel 3/0. Curious you mentioned a wye system, would it have mattered if it was Delta? Just making sure I am not missing something.

I've had Duke not allow LBs, but that's on their side of the meter.

if it's ahead of the meter, many utilities won't permit it.
if there is a way to apply utility seals to it to prohibit access,
they may allow it.

Seattle City light puts a sticker that reads, "utility seal do not remove" across the LB cover :roll:
