LED cabinet lights

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with the new led undercabinet lights.

I am concerned as to color compared to halogen or the FL

My new surefire led bulb looks purple under the cabinet. I just installed hide-a-lites in my kitchen, they are xenon, I am very impressed with ease of use and the ambiance they provide!:roll:

I've seen a few under cabinet strip LEDs that were really bright white. It all comes down to what they LED color temp they put in the fixture.

On an amusing side note, I still hear complaints from people about fluorescent lights, mostly hum and color.

White LED were originally made from Blue with doping to make them more white.
The cheap ones I play with are bluish.
The really good (more expensive) are much whiter.

There are LED light bulbs on the market of good quality, very white.

They are expensive.
Eventually, when prices come down,
they may replace Compact Flourescents.
