Hello everyone, I've been searching the web and this site for an LED dual dimmer switch. I can't seem to find one. It goes in a one gang box and can control two light fixtures separately. Currently they are using the double light switch that gets a receptacle faceplate. But now, they want a dual dimmer and I have already installed the led lights.

So, anyone know of an LED dual dimmer? I'm starting to guess that they just don't exist.

Thanks

LED dimmers are funny in that they have been known to have compatibility issues, so even if you find one, it may not work.
The solution to dimmer compatibility problems is always to see which dimmers the LED manufacturer says to use.
That being said, I'll suggest you visit the LED manufacturer's website and see what they say for dimmers to be used with their products and see if any of them are offered in the configuration you are looking for.

Well, I installed the fixture and later the home owner installed LED bulbs. I'm not sure what brand they are.

Simple fix is to switch to halogens.

Finding any dual circuit dimmer in a one gang frame is likely about impossible. If you do find one - look carefully at it's maximum power rating, they need a certain amount of space just for heat sinking is why you are not likely to find such a thing. If it is designed for LED only maybe the chance of finding something increases.

Absolutely - as posted above Lutron makes them. They also have one that will do a fan speed control and a dimmer for the light all in one device

My bad I forgot the poster wanted LED--- Not made by Lutron... Not sure if someone else makes them. The posted link above is not CL and they are not made in dual switches. Even the fan/dimmer I mentioned above does not do LED

...or if not, cut out the single gang box and install a 2 gang.

It's installed in the island, on the corner next to the cabinet door...so that' a no go. I can install another single box below, which once you see it, you will agree with the high price tag to do so. It aint drywall and it aint going to be fun. It's pulling out three boxes, installing new boxes, and moving forward from there.

Thanks for all the replies and views. i have all I need for Monday morning now :)

Although the dual dimmer isnt made/rated for led, it may still dim enough for the customer's needx. Worth a shot to try it out if the alternative is as labor intensive as it sounds.

can you use a combo device elsewhere in the box to free up a slot for 2 dimmers?

I would try the standard Lutron dual slider if the homeowner is willing to take the chance and cover the cost.

Many screw in LED lamps are designed to work with standard incandescent dimmers since they are being used on existing circuits. I was installing LED recessed lights connected to standard dimmers for quite a while before the CL dimmers existed. Sometimes they work well sometimes they don't. Even with CL dimmers there is no guarantee LED lamps will perform acceptably.

When I installed new lightning in my current house I installed Halo ML5609927 Modules. All of them are controlled by standard Lutron Diva dimmers except for 1 room. I see no difference in performance between the standard and CL dimmers.
