LED kitchen down lights lumens?

Hello

Doing a new kitchen. Talked homeowner out of under cabs as he's watching his budget and actually I've not found the need for them with well placed downlights.

Well. My downlight installs where sometime back when you could get 150 w bulbs. Over the years 100w did ok

For this job I figured Juno frames and led trims. I was at the supply house yesterday and noticed the led trims are +- 600 lumens. ???? That's like a 50 watt bulb. I'll do some more research but has anyone found a 1800 lumen retrofit that they've been pleased with ?

We have used a few of the 1500 lumen, 4000k Sylvania HO's. they are very bright. They are NOT dimmable :happysad:

We have them in several tall ceiling's in hallways and institutional buildings so dimming is not an issue.

I just installed some 5" trims from Nora lighting. 1000 lumens and very bright.

I have been very happy with these. But the older versions do not fit in 5" "JUNO" cans. Some of the newer versions do. So you may have to go Juno 6" cans.

They are dimmable and have good amount of light.

IMO, do not go over 3000K color temperature for residential kitchen.
