We are all familiar with NEC 210.23 (B) and the 'lighting on a 30A circuit' requirements. I am curious if anyone has anything to offer regarding this rule when feeding LED lighting which of course does not use 'lamp holders'. In my case I am referring to LED Hi-Bay Lights in a large warehouse I am designing although the same question would apply to LED site lights. With LED lighting becoming more and more popular in the commercial industry everyday I would expect the NEC will have to comment on the matter eventually.

Thanks for any input.

The only thing I can offer is what you already know-- that rule does not apply to the LED. Perhaps the NEC will catch up but with the lower wattage they may not see a need to allow 30 amps on these circuits.
