Need help diagnosing a problem with some LED lights. A GC forwarded this email from a client where we did a remodel and added some LED recess can lights.

Sorry to email out of the blue and around the time when I think you are
in major wedding mode! I just spoke to an electrician, who recommended
that I touch base with you as the contractor who put in the LEDs in the
bedroom hall. On Saturday, the hall lights flickered when we adjusted
the ceiling fan, which is on the same switchplate. The electrician said
that this is a common problem with LEDs, and said that they may still be
under warrenty; plus, he said he didn't know the brand and details. So
I tried not to bother you but here I am! Could you please connect me
with Mark to see what I need to do to be sure I don't burn the house
down?

Light fixtures are Renaissance Lighting Solia line. According to the architect, hey are supposed to be the Cadillac of LED downlights. They are on a Lutron dimmer that was specified by Renaissance. The dimmer has a neutral wire. The fan speed control ganged in the same box does not. The job is past the one year warranty, but the fixtures themselves have a five year warranty.

Does this sound like the LED driver, or something with the dimmer? Anyone ever run across a problem with LED lights like this before?

Well... whom ah, adjusted the fan, and what does that mean ?

Who did that and why?

What is your contractural requirements on your wares and service after one year?

Sure you can reply that you'd be glad to come out and check your work...

Removal of any lights will be charged a service price and that you'll contact the manufacture if they want to go that route also on their time.

It just sounds like these people are doing something "Live"...

Bottom line why is it your responibility if they are trying to weld in their house...

Thats an issue here also. Now that shed and garage construction has become so costly, I find more and more homeowners welding in their houses.

Just a guess but I think its the dimmer. Starting the fan causes the voltage to dip. Take the dimmer out of the circuit and it will probably make it go away.
I trust the led driver has a capacitor to smooth out voltage.

By "adjusting" the fan they meant they changed the speed setting on the speed controller.

They will definitely be charged for a service call when I do come out, but i guess I'm just trying to get some ideas on what to look for first.

I don't think anyone is welding  and even more importantly, the wedding they are referring to is the GC - not me.
