16' and only 48W from the 300 LEDs. The website is a bit sparce on information. If the customer is okay with the cost I think the main issue will be lack of light if this is being used as an undercabinet task light in the kitchen. And in 5 years the double sided tape used to mount this light ribbon may loose its stickyness. An insullated staple may be preferable.

I say it's not going to be enough light because of the wattage. Without the company providing any lumen output levels or LED manufacturer/product id I have to make assumptions. I assume it's more of a generic quality LED with light output about 50 lumens/watt. (Which I think is generous) 48W * 50 lm/W = 2400 lumens for the whole 16.4 foot length. A 4' 32W T8 lamp puts out about 2950 lumens. Slightly less light output spread out over a length that's 4 times longer. [2950/4)/(2400/16.4) = 5.04:1

Per linear foot, this will put out 1/5th of the light as a single T8 lamp.

Anyone have experience with the GMLighting LED Ribbon?

Looks good, pricey, simple to install - something has to be wrong.

Incandescent rope lighting is somewhere around 5.5 watts/ft. The ribbon is only 3 watts /ft. I guess it would depend on the installation whether you would have enough light. If it is just mood lighting it may be just fine but I would prefer a little more wattage / foot. I guess you could double the run but that stuff is expensive compared to the regular rope light

We had about an 18" sample to look at. Suprising amount of light in her daylit kitchen. The sticky bothers me to. We will stick it to a cleaned metal or glass strip of some sort then fasten that to the upper cabinets. Comparing lumen output via wattage comparisons is not valid.
