LED retrofit trims

Does anyone know if 1 piece 6” LED retrofit trims are considered airtight?

Specifically the ones that do not have any type of gasket.

I know housings are available either way.

My question would be :

If you have an airtight housing can you still meet energy requirements by using the retro trim.

The manufacturer should be able to answer that question, and tell you which ones are if yours aren't.

Yes. If the housing is airtight you are done, I don't believe the trim has anything to do with it.
