A Honda dealership called and wanted me to check out their 3 foot tall "HONDA" sign on the front of their building. The "A" was not lighting. I went up on a lift to find that each letter was seperately lit by a neon tube with a ballast. I told the manager that the ballast had a hole in the side but I do not know anything about neon light. I started to recommend a local neon repairman when he interrupted me and said I should simply convert the letter lighting to LED. Can anyone tell me if there is a simple way to do this and if so, how? Thanks.

LED has many advantages for a new install, but may not match the existing neon tubing, if only the failed part is to be replaced.
Matters not of course if the whole sign is to be re lit, not just the failed part.

I have used self adhesive LED tape for sign and similar lighting with considerable succes.
The type I use requires a regulated 12 volt DC power supply.
It comes in 6M lengths, and uses 30 watts per 6M.
I could recomend a UK supplier, but presume that you want someone nearer.
