My local supply house has a lighting department. If you want an LED strip light with a housing they will contract to another local lighting supplier to have it built.

I asked for a 6 foot strip with a housing I could recess into a wood channel and the driver(12v) to go with it. They came back with a $290 price.

This seems like a lot compared to what I see on the internet. But I am wondering if its worth it to have something custom built of known(high) quality for just my application.

How have you'll purchased custom strip lighting? Thanks

I am wanting tape light with a housing that can be inset into a routed channel. I have seen many options online for this, but its hard to figure out the proper choice giving the 1 million options.

WAC InvisiLED is a very good product under Cab or recessed channel, separate driver. Not cheap though. Used on a couple of projects. Pin linkable 1ft sections, minimize waste. A lot of options, flush, recessed, aimable, corner channel. I get it from my supply house cheaper than internet.
